What i like about this Lakers team, win or lose, is that irrgardless of the record and playing/coaching/chemistry woes are... they are actually out there playing their fukkin' hearts out (i never said well, but the passion and yearn is definitely there).
Once this team really starts to gel, a ton of that pressure and reliance on kobe can be averted.
This is why kobe said what he said about the team last night, playing with a chip on your shoulder and not giving into the scrutiny and criticisms from forums, media outlets, etc.
I believe in this team so much because i know what its like to be an underdog (not just during my personal paltry athletic career, whether it be community hoops, co-ed frisbee or flag football) so my sentiments for this team reign supreme.
A lot of these sappy, soft players of the current NBA era are too bytch made to play with a vet who's tenacity, ferocity and work ethic doesn't give way to their post game partying and strip club regimen... but you have guys like Boozer, Randle, Price, Young, Lin, Davis, Sacre etc. who are willing to sacrefice blood, bone and shones to aspire to play with one of the greatest ever and better themselves. But not just athletically, but spiritually (the zen factor) and mentally (that Kobe Konditioning).
Win or lose, i don't care because i support this cast based on their heart. And you can't put a price on that.
And you don't need a shovel...
