For Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, the off-court attire isn't the only thing he wants to be an influencer wearing. You may have also noticed LeBron is wearing much shorter shorts than the norm this season. It's not a comfort thing or a strategic thing with his play.

According to Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com, this has to do with making his job seem even more professional and wants to influence how kids think about the way they present themselves both on and off the court. That's why you're seeing a tighter fit to his uniform.

"I'm always thinking about ways I can be of help," James told cleveland.com. "That's what it's about, making sure you're doing your part."

This season he trimmed his uniform shorts by a couple inches, and had his jersey made snugger than in years past. He had expressed to those close to him he wants to leave the baggy look behind and place a renewed emphasis on professional appearance when it comes to the size of his uniform as well as his pregame and postgame attire.

Lol at the people in here trying to make this a race thing. I could care less about some breh sonnin' some cacs. My biggest issue with it, is that he's doing this to Blatt. Comes off as a sincere guy who just wants to win. Is learning the NBA on the job and genuinely loves and cares about basketball.

If he was doing this fukk shyt to some scumbag coach then it would be :manny:

Blatt doesn't deserve that shyt.

This.

It's hilarious how you think this is some sort of power move. This is him acting like a bytch and if Dirk or Nash did the same shyt they'd be catching hell too. Don't throw out hypothetical shyt. Ain't no player in the history of the NBA got this much pull and with it he had them re-sign dusty ass Varajao and give Tristan more money than he was worth. Just because he's black like we are don't mean he's above being criticized. When you get power you also get blame. That's the way shyt works.
where is lebron catching hell for this?

You know what... If that power leads to a championship then cool. But he had it once in Cleveland and nothing came of it. This is the second time around... we'll see.

Nikka has been palying in weak ass east conference all his life and he won 2 rings with bosh and wade. Eastern conference will only get stronger and the fraud nikka forced his team to sign varejao and thomson. Terrible

I really don't care about this shyt because great players who win and are bigger than the sport often times get to do what they want. shyt Magic got his coach fired, Elway too. Hell I remember back during the Bulls second three peat when Kukoc would fukk up MJ would point at Phil and literally say get him the fukk off the court dude is messing up. And Phil would pull his ass.

That is just the way it is. But to a larger picture (not about this one incident) Lebron is showing when going back to Cleveland that he knows his worth and because he gets results.....ownership has to agree with them.

Case in point I have a mentor who is a VP. This brotha is so smart that he has countless patents he created. Dude is in telecom and is still making money off of patents he made back in the 90s working for different companies.

Well 5 years ago he worked for one company and left for another company. When he put in his notice the company he worked for tried to counter offer. But they did not want to meet his demands. He leaves the company and begins working for a new company.

Well after 3 years he hears that the division of the old company he worked for is struggling. He calls the CEO up and asks would they be willing to have him back. The CEO says basically hell yeah. Eventually they bring him in for an interview and he gets the job.

Do you know that my mentor the VP had the company meet every demand that he had? He had these fools buy his house (so he could relocate), give him a company car, ability to fire the current staff and hire his own staff, get a 3 year housing allowance, get a 40k signing bonus, thousands of dollars in stock options, about a 30% raise of his current salary and guaranteed that after the first year he would get a 75k bonus.

My mentor says to me in so many words "see this is how you do business in the real world. I knew I could probably have only got half of what I wanted if I stayed the first time. But see the world is results driven. I knew that if I left the division it would go to shyt because I ran the division and it was the most profitable in the company. So I leave and come back and get everything I wanted plus more and that young man is how you wield power."

This ain't that though. Having power doesn't mean you should be disrespectful. Most people with power like that don't go around doing sideways shyt just because they can. Everything your mentor did in that scenario had a air of respect about it. Bron decided fukk his teammate and the coaches all in one go because dude made a bad pass in a game they were already up 20. What's powerful about that?
