Oklahoma senior defensive back Kass Everett faced a nasty dilemma early Tuesday morning. Grand Theft Auto V, widely hyped to be the videogame of the century, released at midnight across the country. Everett, however, was without the necessary funds to buy it.

Former Sooner Tony Jefferson saw Everett’s hopeless plea, and offered to lend a hand… before realizing that may land Oklahoma in some trouble.

Then OU Compliance chimed in, confirming that it would be a violation if Jefferson did purchase the game for Everett.

Everett still got his hands on a copy of the game, though, with some help from a friend :mjpls:

Dudes can't even buy stuff for their friends just because they no longer are at the school.

If a former player gave money to a current student and the current student then gave the money to current player would that still be a violation?

Dawg, nobody cares anymore.

If every player suddenly started taking money, I doubt anyone except overpriviledged prudes would be "offended".

The hypocrisy is so blatant and ridiculous that people just honestly could give a shyt about a "scandal" involving players taking money. The only reason the Manziel situation was controversial was because of HIM already being a lightning rod for drama.
