whodathunk that the stuff libs like doesnt persuade right wingers...

Libs? The Lincoln Project wasn't libs nor was it targeted at libs. It was a bunch of moderate republicans who were virtue signaling online to differentiate themselves from Trump and try to convince centrists, "You can still be our friends, we're not as bad as that guy!"

what i meant is it was content that excited libs and did nothing to anyone else. ostensibly, the audience was right leaning people, but it was actually libs all along. those were the ones paying, and those were the ones grateful for their service. the entire project was fraudulent

I think we're using different definitions of "liberal". Their audience was people who didn't like Trump regardless of political persuasion, but the people they're actually trying to ingratiate themselves with are on the moderate/centrist side of that group.

the selling point of this project was that they were republicans who could attack trump from the right (moderate or center-right or whatever) in service of the democrats, and then convince the right leaning voter to vote biden instead of trump. this was a failure because the ads didnt really say things that would work on that right-leaning demographic, but did work on the libs
