Jacksonville's defense is so badly coached it's making me angry. Just this fukking drive they've been in zone multiple times, and had several people covering literally nothing, and still allowed Tua to run for positive yards. They showed a replay where #54 is in a 15 yard drop with no WRs threatening his zone at all and he watched Tua run for almost 10 yards. At one point they dropped 8 people in coverage, with only 3 WRs in routes, and still allowed Tua to run for a first down.

The best way to spot badly coached defenses is to see how they play in zone. No good defensive coach would need to assign a QB spy in zone. Everyone is supposed to be watching the QB on some level.

They tell the linebackers to get deeper in their drop than usual because of how slow they are. You can get good idea of how undisciplined they are when they blitz too. Several guys rushing out of their lanes. It’s embarrassing to watch every week
