This is the really the only answer.I need more guns
Latin America had a caste system established by the Spanish that lasted for centuries wherein they were on top followed by mestizos to Natives all the way into black people being on the bottom, it was called sistema de castas. They come from a culture where the mentality is engrained that black people should be on the bottom and, most importantly to them, beneath them. Then they come to the states they lost from the war and see all the gains black people made here and saw they weren't kissing ass and took it personal. So you see that black and brown talk happen, problem is when it's time to get a job they give theirs the position to keep blacks out, some alliance when money comes into the conversation. They play the ally role as a strategic enemy. What did we do? Nothing, it's what centuries of culture did to them. They aren't blameless, they're just mad the black people here put up a consistent fight and won't take the slick shyt. Check these books out:The hell did black people do to him!?

I'm a Black man. That's just my username. I do attend CSULB and most of the Latinos that I'm in regular contact with are liberal and well-educatedThis is the really the only answer.

Going on a year now actually. I just been living in Long Beach proper for six-ish months. You may have a point that since I go to CSULB, the majority of Latinos that I'm in regular contact with are liberal and well-educated so that might color my perspective. But at the same time, I legit never experienced a microagression by Latinos here much less actual virulent racism. Thanks for giving your perspective as a Nigerian college student studying at CSULB for less than a year.
