I actually "did research" about mask types and found this guy online who was a PhD in aerosols (Aaron Collins) who was doing his own testing on masks online.

Those shytty cloth masks and flimsy surgical masks do NOT provide the proper filtration at ALL! And yet the government is perfectly fine not addressing this issue for an AIRBORNE illness


We seen too many families get devastated by this shyt unnecessarily. At this point the tools are there yall get it how you live

I stay double masked and I got some cloth masks made that have the n65 filtration stuff sewed into them.

I wear that mask on top and a regular cloth mask up under that one just in case.

My point was that your solution isn't the solution as folks can't get fit over night.

However, they can get vaxxed and take precautions overnight.

The vaccine was never going to be the final solution if everybody didn't get vaccinated. That was said at the very beginning of the vaccine being rolled out.

It was also said that if everyone didn't get vaxxed and the virus kept spreading unchecked that it would mutate and the vaccine would be less effective against the mutated strain. And now here we are.

But with that being said, between your solution and the solution the scientists are pushing (vaccine, booster, staying masked and taking precautions), your solution isn't realistic in the time period that we have.

yeah n95 or better.. the governments reasoning for accepting cloths masks is that there aren't enough n95 masks to supply everyone. studies have shown that cloth masks while not providing the same protection as n95 masks does reduce the viral load a person might be exposed to which would make them less ill. so it's better than no mask at all.

n95 masks aren't cheap either.

I never let that deter me. It's not my fukking problem that the government under 45 sold off emergency stocks of ppe to China .

It's also not my fault that hospital systems willingly chose not to stock up on ppe ahead of time like they were supposed to in order to reduce inventory costs. And then when they did order, the government seized their shyt and claimed it was fed property

..... Funny how these stories didn't get much media attention...

I protect myself and my family which I count as helping out the Healthcare workers. Save ourselves a trip to see yall is a good thing for both of us, you know?

Yeah I had some old ones from painting and doing projects around the house that came in clutch. Wear em for a month or so before replacing to make the most of it.

When shyt got really bad I started wearing a surgical over the n95 to preserve the longevity of the n95.

I bought a bunch of kf94 masks which aren't as heavy duty but have great
filtration still. Better breathability


shyt is annoying but you really realize how disgusting people are in this pandemic. Coughing and sneezing all over everything without covering up and then touching everything in public

You should peep a few of that guys videos on youtube. I believe that n95 had filtration in the 99% range and kf94 masks had filtration ranging from 94-98% range.

He tests various brands and styles too.

Wow this is very sad. I don't blame them for committing that. Imagine being in bad physical pain 24/7?

I know people that suffer chronic pain and illness that aren't a result of COVID. Post viral symptoms aren't new and long term chronic illness isn't new. I'm sick of the woe is me whining from "long haulers." I'm also sick of long haul covid being used in any argument as there doesn't seem to be any way to prevent it barring not getting COVID. Vaccines don't seem to protect you from it. So when the vaccine happy zealots bring this up I'm like um.......the vaccines we have taken don't protect US from this either.

Long COVID, for many, is just a physical representation of a Web MD search.

I'm not sure who thought that flimsy shyt could protect them. It works in a surgical setting because that have procedures in place

theres reasons why most people in this country are washed. One is they are rich. You don’t get fat being poor and another reason is they literally don’t give a fukk. It don’t take much to go out and walk an hour a day (any time of day) the same way it don’t take much to fukk around on social media for 4 hours.

this shyt is about decisions and when it’s all said and done you see who is doing what with their time. Enough with the excuses. A bunch of us out here aren’t elite athletes yet we find ways to get it done and hold down jobs. So if someone isn’t going to take their health seriously until they’re hooked up to tubes and shyt that’s on them.
