Ehh, it's always intrigued me as a kid b/c I used to ride with my grandmother and uncle to Deltona when I was a kid to visit family in the summer. It just doesn't seem worth it
. I only drove to Deltona for the nostalgia and b/c I had a lot of free time

I went to school in deland
I drove from Jacksonville, FL to Northern nj a couple times. I actually enjoyed my time on the road. And this was in the old Mazda.
I remember having to do the texas to Alabama ride as a kid (spent some time living in El Paso) and breh ... the fact it took longer to fukking cross Texas than to get from the Texas State Line to Alabama was

44 hours, Oregon to VA. Lived off 5 energy hour drinks and red bull. Got to parent’s house and slept for like 3 days.

Dallas to Daytona Beach, FL.
I think it was Mississippi where I saw state troopers tryna "hide" in the median at least four or five times. How am I not going to see your big, black azz SUV in the middle of the day?

Longest drive inside my own state though was Dallas to South Padre Island. I know Texas is big, but you don't realize how big until you drive through it. A breh could go from NYC to the Ohio State campus in the same time it took me to hit SPI from Dallas. Ridiculous.

Thinking about driving down to Louisiana/TX next year to visit some family. I’ve personally never drove more than 4-5 hours solo, would it be wise to bring a second driver
LA to TX isn't long at all, I just did that a few months ago you will be fine solo. I've done 11 hours solo. I usually stop at rest areas every 3-4 hours to stretch, and to all around break the monotony.
