Poor Lonzo is falling for all the athlete traps. :francis:

Mixing family/friends with business always has potential for devastating and complicated endings. At least it’s a good thing he caught it early.

Lavar isnt looking so smart now :patrice:
He never did. I knew he was running his business like shyt before I even heard he was letting ex-convicts handle the finances. The details of this story don't even make sense. How the fukk can a small company let a partner drain a huge amount of CASH out of a business without anyone noticing?

If they have any of their own money left in this investment, they should feel blessed and cash it out right now. They obviously aren't cut out for this. I feel bad for the athletes who trust a financial advisor to manage their portfolios and get fleeced just because they make too much money to pay close attention but the Balls are supposedly interested in entrepreneurship. How are you running a business and never create a simple balance sheet or cash flow statement? How are you not doing background checks and credit checks on PARTNERS, much less vendors? This is insane.

That shyt happens all over. the biggest weed company in America, MedMen, is ran by a guy who's a scammer and it's all over the net yet the company still gets more investors by the day. Idk why but it happens :yeshrug:
Don't forget about Mattress Mack and dealing dope in Houston

This is unfortunate. My people are associated with Alan Foster as well, so this is particularly devastating. If I get some insider info, I'll post it here.

Please do if you find out anymore. It'd be dope to get some clarification on all of this

Dude is a 51 year old personal trainer, and you out here talking about balance sheets and cash flow statements :pachaha:. This isn't insane, just good ole fashioned stupidity.

You act like keeping track of your business finances is more important than appearing on Undisputed/First Take or taking your kids to Lithuania. :stopitslime:

People in here seem to be enjoying this a bit too much :mjpls:

This is part of the risk of raising a brand from the ground up. Should they have done more vetting of the individuals involved?....Absolutely. But it doesn't mean the whole venture was a failure. Hopefully they get to the bottom of the 1.5m, recoup it if it's true, and get back to business. It's still a noble venture in my eyes. I'm not entirely sure LaVar is completely innocent in this but I gotta give him the benefit of the doubt. Good to see Lonzo taking an active stance relatively early and not letting anybody else make the call for him.
I feel you but I would be less worried if Zo was less injury prone, more established in the league, and on his second(bigger) contract. Plus with Bron on the team trying to get him and the other young guns shipped out nothing is a guarantee for the Ball family right now. Getting taken for almost $2 million in your second year is not a good look whatsoever.
