It's because he's got a very quiet confidence and maturity, at least that's what it looks like to me.

I wish I could find it but I remember seeing it aired on ESPN when he was at UCLA; he had an interview where he came across as very sure of what he was going to do....almost smug/cocky but I figured that's what LaVar had instilled in him. You catch glimpses of it all the time. It's like he studied late LeBron & Kobe, so he has that air of confidence but knows when to be humble & formulaic.
