When you make it to the NBA, you play against the best every night.
Take away the logo and the Lakers might as well be the Orlando Magic.
Lavar only cares about the market and the location. Nothing more, nothing less.
Lavar openly admitted, his son isn't versatile (by saying he can't play the 2 position) so it's going to be an uphill battle no matter what.
If I'm a draft prospect, I would at least want to go to a team with a good operations management team. The lakers don't have it. And Lavar is pegging his son as a savior to the Lakers franchise with is a bigger joke.
Overall, this is probably the biggest manufactured hype for a player in NBA history. Sadly he was going to be a top 3 pick regardless. All of the hype and press tours are totally unnecessary.
Lonzo has said he wants to be a Laker many times
I don't know why you cats just keep acting like Lonzo has never had a say in ANYTHING he wanted to do.
And Lavar downplayed his sons versatility because he doesnt want to be a fukking Celtic. If he's chosen, he will play, but putting Lonzo at the 2-spot is fukking stupid which is more what Lavar was saying more than downplaying Zo's "versatility".
Celtics already got a ball dominant, All-star PG what would drafting a pure PG do for them? Fultz is more of a scorer and honestly, they should probably trade the pic for P.G. or a big scorer because they suck at that. But even if they dont, Jackson/Fultz fit better than Lonzo.
And youre not a draft prospect bruh, Lonzo doesn't view the Celtics as a team he wants to go to, a coach he wants to play for, and an offense he wants to run. Ultimately, he'll go wherever he's drafted but he wants to stay in Cali and play for the hometown team that likes to run. It was the same shyt with them and UCLA.
Lonzo was like the best PG in highschool and couldve went anywhere. Him and his brothers all committed to UCLA years before they left HS. They did that because they wanted to. They turned Chino Hills, a new and irrelevant school/basketball program into the #1/2 HS in America. Zo turned UCLA into one of the top schools in NCAA...
They don't mind taking challenges which is shyt people like about them. You suggesting he take the "easiest" ways out in your mind when they've never taken the easy way out
