Hard to get hype for a PPVs named TLC and Hell in a Cell. Plus it handicaps the booking because you can't book those matches any other time.

Back in the day you could have a TLC match at WrestleMania, an Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam, and a Hell in a Cell match at Survivor Series, it made PPVs a little more unpredictable.

Next they're gonna start naming PPV's "Pin your opponent in the middle of the ring" coming soon on the WWE Network next month for 9.99

bischoff made a good point on his podcast, you dont wanna rely too much on wcw names or else you will become like what tna was in its early years. Make your own way

Does the PPV name even matter all that much anymore? Long as the match card is solid, the name is irrelevant.
