Despite the fact that college football is a big business, folks forget that college athletics are an extension of college. Not the other way around. It's something the athletes do while going to school, at least on paper. It's not supposed to be a job. If they got rid of college sports dude to pressure to make it a paying job I wouldn't even be mad.

Thank you. Plus, if collegiate student-athletes get paid they become employees...employees get fired for underperforming. That's opening a whole other can of worms.

A free education with no post-college debt to fall back on is a bad thing?


A free education as long as they don't get injured or replaced, in pottery 101 because they don't have time to study a STEM or business major is a bad thing.
