It's not his fault or even yours either, it's just how we're wired. It doesn't mean he doesn't love or appreciate you, just that you aren't sexually attractive to him anymore. I'm sure if you polled a group of (honest) women you'd find the same thing holds true after years and years of marriage.

I've considered it as well. It would have to be a girl I have known for a while maybe since she was young. Even if I don't leave my wife I'm definitely getting a mistress.
I have always known there is no way im smashing a women in her 50's/60's/70's
I have to keep these desires concealed though because in society if you openly let people know you plan to leave / cheat eventually even misogynistic men might look at you like a scumbag and it can hurt your reputation and career prospects.
When I eventually do it im not going to openly cheat, just consume myself with work / a startup / writing a book to the point were I can justify our separation as lack of intimacy and focus on work, that way you can cleanly leave without some of the negative stigma that comes with cheating
