I do agree with you on this especially for the beginning of a relationship in general. But as a married breh, I gotta say..... the expectation that some have is out of touch with reality. That burning desire you have when you all are in your first year or whatever? Nobody reasonable should be expecting that to last forever. It doesn't burn that bright all the time. Ask anyone 15 years into a healthy marriage.

Young people need to be told the truth about this stuff so they don't get married and then get surprised by it. There's no such thing as keeping the butterflies forever. It ebbs and flows. You need more than just that carnal momentum/desire to keep your marriage through the years. Because of that, I just don't think every man and woman is built for marriage. A lot of men and women are probably just better off spending 'blocks' of time with a person, then moving on to a new one. Its not going to be celebrated by society, but a lot of men and women get "bored" when that 'burning desire' stops burning as bright.

Again, not saying you all are wrong. It's just that... there is no option in life for someone who makes you burn that way for an ETERNITY. It will always fade a lil, and come back and fade a lil, and come back again.
