what ive read about nat turner showed him as a religious man chosen and given a sign by god to kill white people (including babies) for the enslavement of his people...i dont know why you automatically assume the religious parts of the movie involve "forgiveness"...nat was about punishing the wicked not redemption...if nate parker (with his white wife and all) sticks to the real story of nat turner people will get a good movie..and a much needed history lesson...

I have learnt when it comes to black men and rape it's best to always give a brotha the benefit of a doubt considering the history of black men and accusations of rape.
This would have merit if Nate Parker did not already state his own personal relationship with God is seen via this film. Either way I do not support Christian-based movies just like I don't support pastors and churches.
