Look I'm a straight drank-a-holic and I'm sipping my last drink as we speak.

Alcoholism may be tied to a weak immune system..the more robust your immune system, the lesser you'll experience the effects of booze.

There are some drugs for alcoholics you take that make the smell of alcohol when it hits your nostrils like the smell of 2 day old feces..if that doesn't get you off the bottle nothing will :scust:

How are y’all holding up? I’ve been trying to kick this shyt for 9 years and I finally did it! I was bad for several years. I would drink first thing in the morning before work, take a bottle to work, and of course finish the night with another bottle. At one point, I was going through 3-4 bottles of wine a day. I could kill a bottle of crown black in one day or less. I don’t know what happened but I went from a chronic alcoholic to not taking a sip for months. I don’t even know why I stopped. I just woke up one day this past July and told myself I’m not drinking anymore. It wasn’t even difficult and I don’t even know why. Before that, I went to therapy, took naloxone, and went to alll type of AAA meetings and none of that shyt worked. All it took was me making the decision to not do it anymore. That was it.

At this point, the thought of alcohol makes me sick. I don’t even think about it and I don’t even look at it at the store. My pockets are more swole since I’m not spending $400+ a month on alcohol and I’m able to wake up and have a great workout without a massive hangover. I don’t miss that shyt at all. Thank God I finally kicked that shyt. I told the wife I might have a sip of red wine with her some day but I’m in no rush. It’s possible to kick the habit fellas.

Been minimal for me, maybe 1-2 drinks per month. Lifestyle change is what helped at first, but now it’s like built in.

I'm 4 years sober in a couple weeks. Breh if you went to AA I wouldn't even put the idea of drinking again to words, you don't need it in your life. A decent amount of my social life has died without booze but the improvements to my health and my anxiety have been more than worth it.

Yeah it can be but not having to repeatedly wake up feeling like shlt with a headache and saying

“IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Quit Drankin”

is definitely well worth it, friend. :blessed:
