The former president's bold claim did not age well.
Stock market success does not equal working class success especially when you factor in that most of the stock is held by a few uber rich. Even the increase in wages was largely seen by the managerial class and not middle to low income workers. Then factor in the corporate price gouging that persists despite inflation being 0 and 0.1% the past couple months and regular folks quickly realize this means next to nothing.
