yes it was. then again, the 2000 squad was even better because it was comprised of all those nikkas and Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne as the WR. Only reason they lost was because it was bum ass dorsey first big road game and Washington was ready for them. FSU had no right playing Oklahoma in the title game. That 2000 cane squad would have beat the sooners :manny:/

Not the greatest college squad ever tho. That aint even the best Cane team :russ: Testverde's Canes, Walsh Canes would have housed those boys.

vince young texas longhorns
Hell no. Vince was a transcendent player but that texas offense was fukking remedial. The Defense was overrated too, USC was scoring at will. Compare that to the Canes defense with Jonathan Vilma, Ed Reed and Vince Wilfork. Clinton Portis at the RB and Andre Johnson on the outside and Shockey at TE. With Kellen Winslow, Sean Taylor, and Frank Gore coming off the bench. :laff: shyt wasnt even fair. I loved that squad growing up

But there was no way that all these guys got burn tho? Two tight end sets weren't big in college football then right? 3 RBs getting major burn too - Portis, Gore, and McGahee?

McGahee had to share fullback duties with najeh davenport. Portis was the clear starter, but frank was fukking special before the ACL. they would blow teams out and have the bench playing the 2nd half. gore used to have 100 yd games just from playing the 4th quarter.
