The whole ".hes signed to me I won't go at him" Just seems like a cop out. Especially from a guy like 50 who goes at everyone for everything
Bottom line is, 50 saw himself in game. A young wild reckless hood nikka who was street backing and was never gonna stop.
50 didn't have the time or energy to keep up with game who had no problem throwing away 1000s of free bars dissing g unit.
So he threw in some jabs here and there, did some trash talking at the end of some mixtape songs and hoped IT would be enough
I see it oppositely
I think part of 50 must've resented Game
Think of it this way
when he called Game Mr. Potato Head . . nothing could be closer to the truth. And this was coming from a guy who was in the background working on launching this guy and getting his project together
50 Cent was grinding hard. Was blackballed. Had the story behind him and but he had the music to back it up. 50 Cent is a GREAT songwriter. A great songwriter more-so than a great rapper, he really understands the craft of songwriting
but Game is a guy who was hungry . . he was a basketball player, athletic guy - pen game? There's still casting calls to write for his songs. Back then before he was putting his own music together he would pay to get on shows and perform other peoples songs, like literally he would get on stage at a pay-to-play show and perform a lesser known Nas song
Dude didn't have a demo of his own material and was basically signed off of his looks and the idea of marketing him as a Compton city G . . when 50 calls him Mr. Potato Head . . he's referring to the aspects of Game's career where he was picked up by someone who liked his look and manufactured him into the product that he is . . basically by like a pop star
