i never ever ever understood how nikkas was giving this battle to Cannibus

the people that side with cannibus, favor rippity-rapping. cannibus would've waxed him if it was a cypher battle.

don't get it twisted, his track was great too, but LL's was a SLIGHTLY better overall record.

I like to play all the tracks from this battle in order, all in one mix. wyclef's track included.
but LL's "ripper strikes back" is always the one that makes me stop what im doing.

looking back, the 2nd round KO beat was kinda weak.

Canibus technically won the battle bar for bar. But L won the war so decisivley that its so hard to give canibus the win. It effects the way we judge the battle. A simple line like " you wont be around next year, yea I said it/ look over your shoulder thats where ya headed" is so powerfull cause of how things turned out for him. Then when they squashed the beef L is on stage with performing the verse that started it and telling him ya carrer starting back up. . Hes still slapping that dude years later.
