I started watching before toonami picked it up. This was maybe late 96 early 97 & it came on Sunday morning. They didn't go past Goku fighting Vegeta & the tall bald guy. Toonami was the worst, they'd get to a part where it was getting really good then the next day you turn it on they starting over again

I got into DBZ after seeing VEGETA...his sexy ass made my buy the WHOLE series...I use to pretend he was darker and my future husband lol
lol this was the cover that changed everything. we was barely done with namek (if even) when this dropped
saw that shyt at target had to get my grandma to cop. must've watched that shyt like 100 times shyt is the reason why trunks my favorite character. having to wait for the show to catch up was the worst though.
the dvd had 5 episodes? my vhs only had 3 episodes though, I'm kinda salty.

Luckily I only went through this one time. I wasn't super into DBZ at that point since I had missed 90% of the episodes that preceeded that, but I would have been pissed to have to sit through another 100 episodes of bullchit just to get back to where I was.
