The history of Boyz N Da Hood is it was supposed to be TI, Trick Daddy & Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz as the established stars with Jody Breeze as the up & coming rookie. Lil Wayne was also supposed to be in the group at one point.

That didn't pan out due to label politics and it was supposed to be Jody, Jeezy, Big Duke & Trick Daddy. That's why Duke names them at the end of his verse on the original "Dem Boyz." Trick got replaced by "Big Gee."

"Cause me, Jody, Jeezy & Trick gon always ride"
- Big Duke on "Dem Boyz (original mixtape version)"

But since the inception, Jody was supposed to be the "young gun" surrounded by Southern vets and was supposed to use BNDH as a springboard. That's also why he caught the most feelings behind Jeezy basically abandoning them as soon as TM101 dropped.
how did puff let jeezy out his deal so easily? Also you said Yo Gotti had signed to Cash Money for a production deal with Lito and Block Burnaz?

How many big records did Jazze have out at the time that wasn't a Ciara record? Only one I can recall are Nelly songs.

It was Herculean task to promote a street rapper from Atlanta. Just look at T.I. and Jody was buzzing a shortly after Trap Muzik dropped. T.I. wasn't exactly a superstar with that album, but it was big.

Your timeliness is off. "Stay Fresh" dropped in 2004. And he was passing around copies of his album around that time, which is how it ended up online.

What? Rubberband man, 24s, lets get away, be easy.

David banner blessed that nikka with that one

Boyz N Da Hood was just a one-album option deal for everybody, especially Jeezy. The other 3 needed the group so they came back and added Gorilla Zoe, who also immediately went on to have a good solo run.

Yo Gotti was already signed to TVT as a solo artist when Birdman asked. But he got an production deal with Cash Money for Allstar & Block Burnaz, who were signed I&E (what is now known as CMG).

That album established T.I. It definitely made him a star, but he didn't become a superstar until the time between Urban Legend and King. By the time King dropped, there were very few rappers in the game bigger than T.I. King was like the biggest rap album of 2006.
