^yet, you got people in here saying that dre won. they need a reality check.
what could dre possibly win, when he has a restraining order on his kid(s) step-daddy?
JD as an RnB producer/writer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dre
Dre as a hip hop producer >>>>>>>>>>>> JD.
Overall, I do think JD > Dre if you take BOTH into consideration.
hot diggity dog. youre spot on with this one.
and whether people think jd is the better
overall producer, or if they think dre is the better
overall producer, its up to them. the bottom line is that jd is right there with him in the
overall producer category.
What album....any album, either genre, rap or R&B, does JD have that had the same cultural impact as "Straight Outta Compton"? Dre helped kick-start a genre of rap music....JD, despite arguably being more versatile, does not have a "Straight Outta Compton" caliber album in his discography. Or hell, even a "The Chronic".
Fred.
a good portion of the beats on S.O.C. were either weak or already outdated by '88.
bottom line, jd has put in more than enough work to the point where nobody should laugh at the thought of him being compared to any producer. either you think hes better than said producer or you dont.
The beginning of zibits diss was one of the corniest things i ever heard in hiphop in my life.
yea. the 1st time i heard it, i was like

. i couldnt bare listening to his voice ever since.
and im still in disbelief that he put so much effort into the diss. he came out of it looking like one of the biggest chumps in rap history. then there was the suge incident, the incident with the mexicans and the snoop diss.
What was it that even started this?
JD went on a tirade, saying that hes the best producer and he called out dre, puff, timbaland and......i think they were the only people that he called out.
this was not a matter that shouldve included long-winded diss tracks from battle-rappers. its like, imagine dmx dissin lil kim on behalf of eve. or trick daddy dissin khia on behalf of trina. i dont see how anybody could respect xzibit and eminem.
