Looking Back, You Have To Admit That Red Tails Had A Great Cast

While Red Tails might have not delivered critically or monetarily, the one thing you couldn't say bad about it was the cast.

I was watching the flick earlier today and realized that most of the cast has prospered since the so-called "bomb" to work on various projects like Selma, Creed, The Birth Of A Nation, The Butler, Empire, People Vs OJ, Fruitvale Station, and Hamilton just to name a few. In fact at this moment two of the sticky threads on TFR feature a Red Tails cast member as the lead.

To me that resume right there shows that if the film had any problems, it was not the casting.

Does the rest of TFR have a problem with Red Tails casting or do you think it was fine?

Red Tails gets unnecessary hate, it was a decent movie. Great flight scenes and just an overall cool movie to take the fam to. I just wished the bold dude who was dating a PAWG survived.

Funny thing is when this movie flopped it was supposed to be severe blow to the future of black films
"If George Lucas can't make it work no one can!"

Turns out audiences prefer when black filmmakers tell our own stories
