2. Announced his next album will be his last on TDE with the creation of an entire website dedicated to his new label
3. Created mysterious folders announcing the heart 5 is coming with a release day for his new album
4. Heart 5 dropped and crashed YouTube for a few hours
5. Album dropped a week later on the release day
6. Added heart 5 to the album which increased his album

There’s no such thing as a traditional one but that’s a rollout. But y’all so blind by the “mysterious” gimmick to not realize that it was a damn album rollout

What was it? It must’ve been small cause I completely missed it. It was one IG post that he was dropping, then another one saying it dropped.
He dropped the fifth loosie of the series too.
Drake drops songs like every month, and albums every year.
That’s not the point though, the point is that surprise albums helped cause a buzz storm for people like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Drake has been on their level or even above as far as charts goes, perhaps not tours but still.

Album "rollouts" are irrelevant in the social media era. Just announcing the album on IG/Twitter is enough. Artists have proven this time and time again. Drake himself has proven this. That is not the reason Kendrick is putting up bigger numbers.
But again this doesn't change the fact that both albums were cheeks.

All artists drop without singles lol..they usually put out a video/single the same day the album releases
