He was clearly trying to be petty releasing on K Dot's B Day. Glad it backfired. Basically tried to outsell K Dot on his B Day and didn't, self ether?. So all that talk about K Dot's sales being disappointing just because they weren't better than "Damn" when in fact we are in a new market in 2022 that was way different than 2017. People need to learn there are dynamics album to album, year to year. K Dot's sales dropped about 50% over 5 years. Drake's sales dropped 60% over 9 months. I thought K Dot's sales for his 5th release on a double LP at that was pretty good. Showed people still cared about him after taking a long break. Could Drake take 4 years off and come back with the highest selling Rap album of the Year? He's too scared to even try. Also Drake and the machine behind him wasn't smart with this release. "CLB" is actually still on the charts so he basically cannibalized himself. This is what happens when you oversaturate the market too much. Drake needs to take about 2-3 years off like K Dot just did but he's too scared to lose relevance so expect more average albums year in and year out. He's still going to get another #1 but the reaction shows people aren't feeling this album that much. Also all the plea copping and spin is making me laugh. Now Drake is the standard for House Music/Techno/Dance? LOL @ "If you don't like this you aren't around women or the club scene". These people will say anything.

Facts buddens kept trying to say that bullshyt

It's only a double edged sword if people aren't shameless dikk riders. Which unfortunately most of the people that argue sales (be it 50's fan base in the early 00's, or Drake's fan base currently) seem to be.

I mean....they mocked Meek for not responding 4 days later then made every excuse under the sun as to why Drake didn't have to respond to Pusha T, ever. :mjlol:

Fred.

You are describing all Fandom in general bruh. Music, Sports, Entertainment, you can't debate why something is good with someone who disagrees by saying "because I like it", so you use what facts/stats you got. How many chips your favorite team won, sales or #1s in music, opening weekend box office in movies.

The fact that 90% of internet weirdos spend their days trolling about shyt they don't even believe or care about has made these convos toxic, but you act like there is an alternative other than just being quiet, which nobody in the US ever does. Better to be loud wrong than quiet wrong :troll:

No man.

And it's not fandom. It's standom.

If his stans hadn't mocked Kendrick's numbers and claimed "Honestly, Nevermind" was gonna run the summer, then there's nothing to clown.

As it stands they did...so here we are. It's not really that hard to understand.

And no this ain't the only fan base that does it but Drake fans are serial offenders with it.

If Kendrick did 700k and Drake did....this....then yes, it would be worse because Drake stans always mention sales.

I seriously doubt either of these will do 2 mill. Both are flops based on what the respective artists should be doing.

Hell, both are flops based on 1st week sales, which rap fans are obsessed with. If they go 2x plat a year from now it's not gonna matter much.

I don't think Drake and the machine felt that nevermind and CLB would overlap because nevermind was made for an entirely different audience. It was probably made for the overseas folks out there

The bolded. After “More Life,” Drake should have took a 3 year break and came back this year just like Kendrick.

I honestly feel that line Kendrick said on the “Control” verse where he said he would take away all his fans got to him. After NTWS, Drake hasn’t took 1 year off. He ALWAYS has to drop something to remind folks that he is still around..

Pretty soon folks are gonna get annoyed with Drake dropping every year. And pretty soon somebody is gonna come a long and take his place.
