They don't. They'll get to hold it for a specified (usually short) amount of time to make content, and then have to send it back. This is standard protocol for most companies' influencer programs.
Maybe load times, possible frame rate improvements?
I don't think anything crazy but, both fans of the systems are craving every little detail.
