Dumb ass c00n. Just because someone cosplays black power for music and entertainment doesn’t mean they are really about it.
Remember, a lot of these artists are also in show business. It’s a business of show and sometimes that also includes playing a character. Reminds me of an interview of Mickey Free explaining why him and Prince back in the day dressed gay as hell. It wasn’t just the music but also about cultivating an image. He explain of course they were straight but they wanted to outrageous and get people talking. It’s part of cultivating fame and fans. Same reason Tupac went from theater kid to gangsta. Don’t put too much stock into this stuff. Think of it like the WWE.
