It's not that difficult.
Black (non-slavery related) immigration was basically non-existent before WWI. If you can find your people on an 1870 U.S. census and they azz was in the Deep South....there's probably a 99% chance you're ADOS.
I found some documents on ancestry.com where a white slave owner promised my 7x-great grandparents to his son in a will. A distant cousin was finding all kinds of shyt and uploaded all of it. Went from South Carolina/North Georgia all the way to Texas/Louisiana by 1840-1850. Most ADOS can find this stuff if they know the different surnames in their family.

even if you went up until like 1950 or 1960, the number of black immigrants in the US was negligible. So we could even make it easier by picking 1950. The number of blacks here that were immigrants was less than 1% of blacks.
