I respect your opinion, but that's not true at all. They know damn well what that flag represents. And for some of them, the fact that it irks many blacks makes it even more attractive.
The only people who don't know what the flag represents are Asians and certain latinos who just came off the boat, and want to make a little money. They honestly don't care what it represents, they just know that their clientele likes it, therefore they're going to embrace it, too. Kind of like the immigrants who gravitated towards Hollywood and made a mess of pro-Confederate romance movies and novels 80 and 90 years ago. They didn't care about the subtle politics and the pain, they just cared that the people buying their crap loved it so no skin off their nose. It's a way to assimilate.

Being racist doesn't mean you avoid a chance to snap up tang or dikk if it's offered to you. Some of the biggest racists have biracial kids -- or adopt interracially (pity the poor little Chinese girls). I think I agree with you that Yelawolf is lost, but he is not ignorant of the significance of images associated with the Confederacy. He can either play dumb or claim he's trying to reform the old associations with new ones.
