He is nice, that’s never the contention there are hundreds of nice rappers with not even the modicule of success he has, Mos Def is nice, Black Thought is nice, Chino Xl is nice, Canibus was nice, Big Pun Lupe Fiasco, that has never been enough for majority of nice black rappers.

The fact he can release countless of bad projects and still be mentioned in top 5 discussions is a thing owing to his race simple as, the fact he can be by far the biggest selling rapper of his era in this new digital age is also partly owing to his race also, Nas Jay and countless rappers wouldn’t get away with making songs as bad as Just Lose It, or Without Me, he operate in a different sphere because of his privilege he proudly admits himself, so any backlash he gets is relating to that and is far overruled by the amount of love he gets, in comparison to similar rappers of a different race.

Canibus and Chino were okay. Chino was corny after '96. They can't sit with the Black Thought's and Mos Def's of the culture. Big Pun and Lupe have both had hit records. The Roots have mad Grammy's. Pun sold a million records on his debut album, in '98. That sh*t ain't easy. But these are Hip Hop artists. They didn't really cross over to the MTV audience and all that. Interscope pushed Em to mad different demographics. So he sold to people who don’t even traditionally buy Hip Hop albums. That's how that works. But even with that, dude still never lost the pen. That's the important part.

There are a lot of MC's who release wack albums and stay in the Top 10. Most of my favorites are MC's who started with classics, and dropped weak sh*t later in their careers, so I stick with the early sh*t and don’t judge them by their later work. People forget, Em is still dropping albums that sell. His last joint was one of the Top 10 best-selling albums that year. So he has fans who still think he's dope and will actually pay money for his music. Last year, I heard some unreleased references he did for Dre, for a Dre album I'm pretty sure is never coming out. Dude is still ridiculously nice with it. So as long as he can keep the rhymes dope, I expect people like Wayne and Redman, to keep saying Em should be in the Top 5. Dude can rap.
