You sound kinda upset for a nikka who has "outgrown" hip hop culture.

And you do this ranting and raving under the auspice of pro-blackness when all she's doing is commenting on the same kind of content and behavior that is leading you to leave hip hop alone. Some of the same things that most people would say are far more detrimental to black america than the criticism of the same...

Then you top it off, by putting up the fat signal for one of the most negative, materialistic, fraudulent, stereotypical rappers to come and "save us".

Defeat your own argument brehs. :troll:

so yall mad at a lil cac singer saying the exact same thing we hiphop fans have been saying for years? :heh:
People get upset about who delivers a message all the time. Some messages are best told to people by someone who identifies with them and relates to their strife, triumphs, etc. He's upset because it's an "outsider" saying it. With all that said, you're all giving this flavor of the month chick way too much hype for a pretty generic song. I have no idea why backslash is so mad, but then again, I seldom understand why anyone on this board is mad.

THEY GOT THIS bytch SHOWING HER VIDEO AT 106npark LIKE SHE ONE OF US :damn:

GOT HER ON URBAN RADIO STATIONS :damn:

I TOLD YALL nikkaZ THESE CACS ARE GETTIN TOO COMFORTABLE :damn:

RICK ROSS RELEASE MASTERMIND AND shyt ON THESE DISGUSTING CRACKAZ QUICKLY :damn:

Calm down, bruh. Black people diss the materialism of hip-hop all the time. That doesn't mean they need their hip-hop cards revoked. Personally, I don't cosign the ridiculous excess of popular/mainstream hip-hop, either. Not only does it bore me, I find it a negative influence on impressionable youth when it's so frequent and finds no balance with other messages.

Also, the song lyrics, from what I can see, don't specifically call out hip-hop culture. She mentions stereotypes associated with rich white people and "old money" as well.

I don't think her comment is out-of-line. I mean, if you don't live under a rock and have heard "Royals," you should already know this is her attitude :yeshrug:
This. When I first heard that song I thought she was saying exactly what she is saying here :mjpls:

I like Lorde . Even though her performances are weird as fukk I like her voice and song style. With that said I'm tired of anti establishment sentiment that is constantly paraded by hipster culture. Her argument makes no sense. Who cares if you can't relate to it? Does me growing up in the burbs with both my parents man that I can't enjoy Dead Presidents, etc.?

:laff: at the "outrage" over this girls opinion. It's not like she's lying. Are we supposed to be mad because she's 17 or because she's white? Or is it both? Meh whatever.
