Any of y’all grew up in or near Baldwin Hills/Windsor Hills-View Park area? It’s so frikin beautiful. Probably the most beautiful pieces of black real estate in the nation. Are black ppl hanging on to theses areas? What was it like growing up there?

Gotta say I’ve been pretty unimpressed with real estate in Cali unless the place is like 1.5m or above.

I’m not really a fan of the Spanish/Mediterranean styles you see everywhere either.

No wonder you weren’t impressed. My fave architectural style is Spanish. Eastcoast residential architecture seems so drab in comparison.

I heard that they’re gentrifying it to a certain degree. I checked it out when I was in LA a few years ago; It is indeed a really nice area, and it’s cheaper than the other hill areas in LA, with possibly better views. It should be no surprise that other races wanna live there (again).

The area you’re referring to is still mostly black. But cacs who can’t afford the Westside are creeping in

It’s crazy. It’s like cacs have rediscovered that area and it’s beauty. I’m sure back in the 90s, those areas were a little to close to South Central for their comfort.

Baldwin Hills is really Crenshaw LA but since Crenshaw is synonymous with south central LA and is negative undertone they just call it Baldwin Hills… it’s still 90008 zip which is Crenshaw lol… I fukks with it tho, I met a bad joint from over there a few years back
