I'ma just ignore you tryna paint Em as some hip-hop savior, because we all know Em has hurt the culture more than any other rapper.

But once again, we're talking about lyrics.

culturally Eminem is bullet proof, from actualized care.
you can not cite anything em has done wrong.
given who he is and his genre.

Eminem is a horrorcore act,....
horrorcore acts, do the shyt Eminem does.
nas, is a culture based act who sold out.
a culture based act who is really about the culture.
does not do what nas, has done.

again,....nas selling out is like black uhuru making pum pum p*ssy gyal.
black uhuru will not and has not made a record that was of the sellout nature to their culture.
nas, has and continually made and acted in manners.
directly, against and opposed to the type of culture genre based artist he is.

if you want I can cite the situations, and facts.....

then, I am going to table you for being a stan, afterward.

NAS : wanna play???

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Lyrically whiteboy has become IMO the best lyricist over 40...Outdoing Nas. I say that based on the lyrical depth of MMLP2 compare to Life Is Good. Nas cant execute lyrically like Em did on Rap God, its not happening.
Yea the fukk right..lol..smh..that "Rap God" shyt was literally a whole bunch of nothing...

having vocal tonality, or the ability to stay on key is completely relevant to who is better lyrically.

art barr
That relates to the delivery of said lyrics. We are talking straight lyrics on paper. It wouldn't even be a discussion if we included delivery, because even though Nas' delivery isn't the greatest, he's clearly much better than Marshall. Em's delivery is his weakest trait.

:russ: A stan? Stanning who? Nas?

Don't get it twisted, I'm far from a Nas stan. I'm on Nas' side of the discussion because he's clearly much better.

You oughta table ya damn self for supporting a corny white boy whose only contribution to hip-hop was thousands of cacs who "hate rap, but love Eminem"

I can't honestly believe anyone would pick that corny shyt Eminem been doing lately over ANY of. Nas' recent efforts..fukk tonality and all that shyt..Em's vocals are flat out ANNOYING at this point..and he's literally not rappin about shyt..like...u walk away from the whole song wondering what the fukk u was just listening to...in the past..he would've done it in a far less corny and more entertaining way...I'm one of the cats on here that feel that nikkas give Eminem too much slack and not enough credit cause he def paid his dues more than alotta rappers to be in the game..but no...Nas right now>>>>>>

this is deflection,....
eminem is not hiphopinfinity or fard, breh...
so, since you're deflecting on bullshyt,.......
I deal with bullshyt,...by putting bullshyt throughed't the table!!

To not acknowledge the lyrical depth Em went on that last album is only hate.

u are like that other dude....U made a claim with no examples. Give me one song from LIG that lyrically outdoes Rap God.
I've only heard rap God once, and it was impressive. Although I thout the rapping fast was a bit corny. To me, the lyrical highlights of Life is good, the points where he was just really ripping shyt was:
Reach Out
World an addiction
The Don
Cherry wine
Nasty

Now, keep in mind, nearly every song on LIG was lyrically impressive. But the above were the "blacking out" moments.

canibus was always great at penning rhymes but his flow and delivery were never that special. i always looked at him more as one of those internet text mc's than anything. on the whole eminem and nas comparison...it's terrible. eminem has maintained way more of his skill set throughout the years than nas has. nas came in with that g-rap esque rhyming and couldn't hold the style down for more than 2 albums. eminem has switched his style up multiple times since he's been in the game and still just as lyrical. if anything, i'll give nas the better delivery right now because of how shaky eminems was on mmlp2, but that's about the only thing he does better from a technical stand point as of this time. better all time? nas. better right now? eminem.

I'd would put this verse up against that one, keep in mind that the beats/tempo/energy on the tracks are different so just because em is a bit more laid back doesn't mean this wasn't as, if not more potent IMO, ill flow/delivery wise too.

Some people say I'm strange, I tell them ain't shyt change
I'm still the same lame a$$hole with a different name
Came late to the last show with a different dame
Brain aches from the last "O" that I sniffed of caine
You know you're spaced the fukk out like George Lucas
When your puke is turnin' to yellowish-orange mucus

So when I grab a pencil and squeeze it between fingers
I'm not a rapper, I'm a demon who speaks English
Freak genius, too extreme for the weak and squeamish
Burn you alive till you screamin' to be extinguished
Cause when I drop the science, motherfukkers tell me to stop the violence
Start a fire and block the hydrants
I'm just a mean person, you never seen worse than
So when Slim, gets this M-16 burstin'
You gettin' spun backwards like every word of obscene cursin
On the B-side of my first single with the clean version
Stoppin your short life while you're still a teen virgin
Unless you get a kidney specialist and a spleen surgeon
In the best hospital possible for emergency surgery
To try to stop the blood from your ruptured sternum internally
I'll take it back before we knew each other's name
Run in a ultrasound and snatch you out your mothers frame
I'll take it further back than that
Back to Lovers' lane, to the night you were thought of, and
Cock-block your father's game

I'll plead the fifth like my jaws were muzzled
So suck my dikk while I take a shyt and do this crossword puzzle
And when I'm down with ten seconds left in the whole bout
I'ma throw a head-butt so hard, I'll knock us both out

And as for who's better, Bis had every opportunity to prove that, after he played himself with the LL shyt and trying to flex his popularity on em, 6 months later he flopped, and he ends up doing the "stan lives" shyt after em returns the kindness

:snoop:

I can respect your opinion though, that was classic and in his prime Bis was ill and most def an inspiration to me, I just don't see that much separation between them back then on the lyrical tip, and em has always been better a better song writer.

nas, on LIG was not as nice as em on rap god.
nas has not been that focused since, probably salute me.

Rap God is a dope track but I wouldn't even call it a top 3 joint off MMLP2...and LIG/MMLP2/MCHG were all kinda :ld: to me.

The thing I like about it is that it's a response to the critique of the whole "too much technical/rippity rap", rather than go the recovery route he did what he was supposed to and did more of what he was being critiqued for on a traditional "6 minutes", show and prove type of deal.

Evil twin, groundhog day, brainless, don't front, are all better displays of writing/rapping than that though, and I'd def fukk with those as much as the handfull of joints I kept from LIG.

Nas > em by default and I love both. But skill wise when em is not trying to sound like other rappers, and in his own little space he's still crazy dope, and really switches styles from album to album. And they both kinda reach for nostaligia every now and then but em is still turning out NEW flow and styles to the point where he doesn't really sound like he's ever sounded, you kinda know what to expect with nas and LIG kinda suffered from that to me.

:win:

Now that he seems like he's got some closure with the dear diary shyt, it would probably be in his best interest to get back to concepts...shyt nas too while we're at it, especially seeing how if/when they finally do get around to doing a song it would probably be best to come with a concept record.

Em did his thing on that 365 but, Naw. Hell Naw. Bis on Beasts from the East is much better.

And as for who's better, Bis had every opportunity to prove that, after he played himself with the LL shyt and trying to flex his popularity on em, 6 months later he flopped, and he ends up doing the "stan lives" shyt after em returns the kindness

Bis "playing himself" against LL is irrelevant here. Regardless if he played himself or not, he was a much more ferocious and gifted beast on the mic than Em. I do agree though, Em has always been a better songwriter than Bis.

Rap God, upon first listen can be enjoyable, but that's how most rippity rap sh!t is. Sounds good at first and then you realize it's just words. Buncha Slaughterhouse sh!t. For anyone to say that RapGod proves that Eminem is a better lyricist than Nas is funny. LIG proved Nas is still the best lyricist, and MC on the planet. That rippity rap sh!t, ALONE, does NOT make an MC a GREAT lyricist.
