LOL, she is the product of a white mom and a Mexican dad. Anyway, I had a co-worker who kept making it her business to tell me how to do my job. She worked in a different section but we shared a cubicle. I had made it clear to her (and had it documented twice) that I didn't appreciate her actions. (At one point she had talked to my clients about how she felt about my job performance, and the clients came back and told me.) I talked to her about it, and she admitted she was wrong. I had asked to be moved to a new cubicle, but was denied. I never raised my voice to this woman, but I get the feeling that she went back to the director and said some shyt.

:hubie: I don't think this thread is gonna go how you want it to

Gotta be more to this story
full

Granted just being a black man in Amerikka..
At any job or venue..
Unless you cheesing from ear to ear..
You will have the threatening “monicker”attached to you..
With that said..
They didn’t have a verbal discussion before letting you go..
They didn’t have write ups on you..
Or..
Do you not want to go into specifics

Just got the call and was told to not come back to my part time job. I worked at an activity center for senior citizens. (I taught academic classes as well as some physical education stuff.) Anyway, I was told that someone at the center felt "threatened" by me, and that they couldn't keep me there because of it. I was also told not to appeal to the board, because the board had already agreed that I should be let go.It was rewarding work, but I really wanted to keep the gig because I have a wedding to pay for. Shyt has me furious.

I would not take this lightly, find out the exact reasons and talk to a lawyer or something, best of luck

It feels like some other part of the story is missing

I agree. But as of right now, I don't know what it is. I was told they would send me a statement in writing, so I am hoping to know more when that arrives. If this sounds unbelievable to you, then you can imagine how it sounds to me. My full time job is in law enforcement, and while I can work a part time job, if I did something totally off the rails I could potentially lose that law enforcement job because I would be in violation of our department's code of conduct. So you can understand why I am taking this seriously. I will have to report this to my shift supervisor since I am banned from the property. I am not going to say that things were always perfect at the senior center, but I did what was expected of me, and if there was ever an issue that needed to be addressed with a co-worker I handled it professionally.
