In New Orleans when something was fresh or cool we used to say it was shive. Manny fresh said it In a song.

Ain't got no job, but I stay shive (I stay shive) Can't pay my rent cause all my money spent, but that's okay, 'cause I'm still fly

We used to call each other round, lil daddy, and youngin too

I wish some of this new slang become lost slang now :francis:

Which ones? :wtf:

give examples breh :shaq2:

Where tho?
I don't know about other areas but in Cleveland people still say alot of that, brain (head) ,heat (hammer/stinger/stick) ,servin (slangin')

Newer slang don't even last now in this generation cause EVERYTHING is disposable. People were saying "You fried" or "That's cray" instead of You crazy but I've been hearing less of that and gone back to saying "You crazy"

Nobody says "Sauce" anymore now it's temporarily been switched to "Drip" or people say "Flex" but that's been around for a minute. Also "Salty" has BEEEEEN around but people tried to make it mean some other shyt. I'm salty that folks try to change slang words when you got a whole dictionary to pull from.:stopitslime:. Real talk though, once:mjpls:get a hold of a word it's done.

Center self, inner self
Slammin. Shots out to Freddie Gibbs for keeping that shyt in rotation.
shyt, you beat me to it. But yeah Slammin' was like a 80s/early 90s slang...maybe even goes back to the 70s?

Anyway,

Back in the day we would call getting head "Slow neck" :mjlit:. I've seen the shorter version "neckin'" here and there over the years, but never slow neck

when did kids start saying "flick" to mean picture instead of movie? I'm not :flabbynsick: but a year or two ago I saw someone write "snap a flick" and I thought it sounded weird
