Why release the demo the same day the game releases?
Because there is a big day 1 patch coming for performance, and they didn't want to put a demo out before that.

This is very unpolished. Lots of technical polish missing and it looks like a game that could've came out in 2014 on PS4.

If this is what the performance is like after a delay, I can't imagine how it must've ran back when we had the first release date for it.
When I saw that there weren't any reviews, or even news about when the review embargo would lift, I kinda saw this coming. That, paired with the fact that Sony barely marketed this at all, you could tell what was going to happen. I'm still going to give it a try, but, definitely looks like a "still has ice in the middle" sort of deal. Even if the story isn't Expedition 33 levels, as long as it's not super generic to the point of putting people to sleep, I think it'll do alright.
People may feel a kind of way about games delaying more than once, but hindsight is always 20/20. It's better for something to be delayed so they can finish it and have it be presented as intended, instead of rushing to the deadline like trying to finish up your homework while the teacher is collecting the papers. Once you collect the money, and people feel ripped off, it's tough to wipe that from you. Cyberpunk did it, No Man's Sky did it, even the very game Lost Soul Aside is inspired by did it. So if the team goes in and really fixes what needs to be fixed and listens to the feedback, I think it could absolutely end up being a game that delivers on the end.

All these action games are generic at this point,

Breh, I'd rather this game was just basic and similar at the least.
It's worse when it's generic and then VERY janky. It's VERY janky from the feel of the character's movement, the audio mixing, the technical issues(textures not loading, sound is way ahead of the visuals in some cutscenes, generic, lifeless looking world) and just overall lack of polish.
I'm not even getting into how dull and lifeless the characters are. The main character looks like a AI character created with some random dude voicing him as his first voice acting gig.
It feels like a game someone made while on break at work for 4 months. I'm literally disgusted that Final Fantasy was talked about as an "inspiration" for this game. This game is seriously the worst game I've played in years just off of the first 30 minutes. I've never been this disgusted at a game right off the bat.

There's not been a game that's been on THIS level of JUNK in years. FF XVI is a fukking 10/10 compared to this game lol. Hell, ASSASSINS CREED Shadows feels like GOTG game compared to this.
