Short story is I was riding in a HUMMVEE on Patrol in Bayji Iraq and we were attacked by an EMP bomb that punched through the gas tank killing the soldier beside me ( who was a replacement) literally blowing him in half and the explosion flipped the truck.

I injured my knees back and head and got an TBI from the blast waves. spent two years in the hospital going through PT learning to walk and talk I was in a wheelchair for a year. I’d say the heated pool excercises worked better than anything.

The speech therapy was like being in nursery school all over again. i had to take anger management classes because I was so frustrated.

Had to take pain management classes to wean me off of being addicted to pain meds. Lot of people turn to fentanyl when they get cut off from pain meds.

How would you rate your current physical state in comparison to your prime before the ied?

Not really they felt they were defending their country I didnt think we shouldve been there

I actually never gave the bomb planter a thought and considering the zillions of combat patrols I was on I looked it as an accident

As far as the wheres luigi thing Im not personally avocating violence but I will say I never paid for health insurance in my life.

How would you rate your current physical state in comparison to your prime before the ied?

Basically my memory which used to be damn near photographic has slipped a little harder to concentrate and multitask
Pain in my back and knees which makes it harder to run other than that an almost full recovery

Good therapy makes a world of difference. Although I cant know for sure if she had the right care shed be further along

Her face seems a little paralyzed but her other arm is messed up. From what Ive seen partial paralyzion usually happens on one side of the body iooks like tgey gave up on her arm.

But Im speculating here. Again huge difference from me and Melissa maybe it was the seat belt

No joke man a seatbelt could be the difference with walking away with a broken arm vs getting mangled up on impact. She is blessed to be alive and to put together whole sentences with the damage it did. TBH I thought she passed from her injuries.
