@The M.I.C. I wonder if he could get away with the video now? Beyonce was 16 and he was a grown man. I wonder why these pseudo feminists/ activists never said anything back then?
Probably...this song came out in '99 and even though Destiny's Child had a platinum record with their first go, Matthew was already laying the groundwork on Beyonce being the sole face of the group and making her recognizable by herself. Case's shyt dropped at the beginning of the year and Writing's on the Wall dropped in the summer. It was just promotion at the time especially since people were still a bit clueless on Bey's age back then tbh.

1999 had nikkas in the streets pressed like hell..."No Scrubs" and "Bills, bills, bills" had nikkas taking out title loans on they broke down Hondas to keep they women happy.![]()
I reject. Yall nikkas had
\
Cause nikkas was tired and bankrupt at that point..the resistance was born by that time.
How you gonna compare an uptempo jam to a slow one? It's apples and oranges

We had this too
Gotta go with faded pictures. Faith was more of a low key dance track. Case and Joe was tugging at heart strings with that one

This song hits home. All the old heads know remember
before YouTube, Pandora or ITunes, if you liked a song, you either bought the whole album OR wait for the radio to play it and record it on your cassette. Mother loved this song so much, she bought the Rush Hour soundtrack. Speaking in hindsight, remember when songs like Faded Pictures and Can I Get A were associated with the film? If the song was related with the movie, you bought the soundtrack and went to the movies. Sometimes, you went to McDonalds or Burger King because of the movie promotion. Those were the good ol days
@The M.I.C. @BlackPearl The Empress @BmoreGorilla @Turk @Meh @LeeDoubleLee @Fun Sized Psycho @Regine Hunter @Black Barbie @Ask a Stupid Question @Otis Kane Jr. @The5thLetter @TheGregReaper @4everMoor @LovelyOne83 @Marti @stomachlines @Imperfect Perfectionista

bad match, faith's song is more club while Joe's is more radio or mellow mood type song, not comparable
