Humans are so smart and good at killing things, but they never figured out rats, mosquitos or even bedbugs.
WE USED FERAL CATS TO KEEP RATS AWAY FROM THE PROPERTIES.
GET A FERAL FEMALE CAT. FEED HER AT THE STORE FOR A FEW DAYS. THEN REDUCE THE FOOD. SHE WILL START TO HUNT. GIVE HER A SHELTER AND SHE WILL STAY LOCAL. SHE WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH THE PREGGOS. WHEN THE KITTENS LEARN TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES, MOVE THEM TO YOUR OTHER PROPERTIES.
I ALWAYS FELT IT WASN'T 100% LEGAL BUT WE NEVER HAD ANY RATS. PLUS THE CATS DIDN'T LOOK MISTREATED.

THEY WILL EAT THEM IF THEY ARE HUNGRY. MOST OF THE TIME THEY JUST KILL FOR SPORT. YOU HAVE TO GET THEM USED TO KILLING FOR FOOD BEFORE THEY REALLY KILL FOR FUN.
