Short term success, still think Ujiri pulls the plug on them so they can get a draft pick.

Low key Raptors gonna miss out on the lottery and be garbage for another season.
They have a top 10 defense
They got three young players with some potential
T think they got a start to a decent team what can they do not try
if uriji trades Lowry or any other key piece, he's gonna hear it from Toronto. This city desperately wants to see this team in the playoffs.
Their players have potential but none of them are number 1 guys.
The issue is that while they aren't a small market, they can't land free agents, so building through the draft is a must. Look at it like this, that current roster + Parker, Exum or Wiggins.....
That's short sighted though, this is still a team built by BC and Uriji deserves a chance to build it.
A top 4 pick in this years draft basically gets you a shot at a franchise player, in addition to having the pieces Toronto already has. I'd miss the playoffs for that chance, some of these awful teams in the East have talent and given how good this draft is some of them (Orlando/Philly) could end up better than the Raptors by next year.

In order to get a top 5 pick you have to TAAAANK. You have to literally go to these players and damn near give bonuses for losses. I think yall are understimating how trash the east and bottom
8 or so teams are. .
If Brooklyn, Cleveland and New York were playing as well as they should it'd be a different story but I dont see it happening anymore.
