I literally took 5 seasons off. Then tv hit a dry spat and now im caught up.
its been okay. The common wealth shyt is boring.
but its really all over the place. Michone is still wondering the world. Darryl is babysitting kids. Carol still a ticking time bomb. The dude with the dreads dying of cancer. Etc.

I tried to "catch up" on this show (havent seen shyt since the whisper people were introduced). Decided to tune into the finale season, saw what looked like some storm troopers from comic con, laughed for about 20 seconds at that shyt, and then turned it off.
This is one show that fell off so hard, i dont give two fukks about how it ends. And they also ruined its counter part (Fear the walking dead) by trying to combine characters from both series into one shyt show.

Yeha, Angela Kang breathed fire into this show. She's revved up the tension and even made the walkers a threat again. The tone of the show is now great. The best thing she's done is focus on multiple characters and groups for each episode.

Seasons 1-5 was some goat television, season 6 was a step down but still good
seasons 7-8 are legit some of the worst seasons of tv Iv ever seen, I don’t blame half the fan base for tuning out
season 9 was a big improvement
seasons 10 & 11 have been dope (mostly)
what’s crazy is that people will shyt on this for falling off with bad writing but are currently watching a third awful power spinoff like that franchise hasn’t been dogshyt since 2 seasons before Ghost Got popped

Last few seasons have been cookie cutter vanilla, except for a few goat episodes. The new city is a cartoonish bureacracy. The best original characters are almost all gone. None of the new characters except the captain of the guard has really stepped up and Daryl and Carol have turned into parodies of themselves.
Someone pointed out the goofy storm trooper armor and the dumb episode diaries (like GoT). I don't want to listen to 5 mintues of the director explaining the episode to me like I'm a 5 year old. Give me 5 more minutes of show.
I've been a fan since day 1 and post-Negan's fall, the show has been phoning it in. I'm trying to stick it out, but if it goes past this year I'm done, and definitely not watching spinoffs.
