Low key was there ANY MOMENT when King of Fighters was even equal to Street fighter?

Capcom VS SNK 2 is the greatest fighting game capcom has ever produced PERIOD

If I ever got a CVS3 I could die happy

Was never a big fan of all the cross over super combo bullshyt those games brought to the gameplay

SF2, its you and your skills vs the next man

The vs. games, its "who can pull of the flashiest bullshyt from land/air/wherever"

Its like, it takes away the one on one man skills and turns it into some bullshyt imo. I didn't fukk with MK3 because of the running combo's.. thats that shyt I don't like

The only game I excepted it in was Killer Instinct

I have been a street fighter fan since I first played SF2 in arcades when it was originally released. I used to walk in and throw. Could barely fireball ball then.
Loved the game and 2d fighters so much that I bought a neo geo when KOF came out as read that it was the only thing close.

KOF was nice at the time, so was samurai showdown 2, however Fatal Fury 3 on release was the closest anybody came to upping street fighter.
It had a great combo system, music, graphics and went from loads of characters back to I think 10 well developed ones.

Havent played that for years, but all I can say it KOF aged badly..
Ultimately when all said and done. Everything copied street fighter 2 and capcom do it best.
All the other capcom fighters dont come close though. SF is easily number 1.

That game was REALLY complete. I played the heck out of it on OG Xbox. It was easy to spam in EOISM but that game was PURE

Rock was definitely that nygga I used to fukk with him in Garou

I like that team I could never fukk with Zangief though my man would pick N-groove Zangief(A mobile Zangief aint that a scary sight) and give me hard matches.

My teams were Hibiki/Iori/Geese and Ryo/Chang/Yamazaki C-Groove

What I like in XIII is the return of the raped Yuri and King.

This is something that is better than SF:

Faster movement
Fluid Combos
Can run
Doesn't rely on grabbing

Never..I grew up at the arcade..nobody was putting their quarters up or had a crowd gathered around any king of fighters/snk game like capcom..only the obscure weirdos would play king of fighters/snk and those weirdos weren't that good at fighting games in general..

Samurai showdown 2 and 4 took a little shine away from the capcom games though.

KOF 98 and 99 were actually superior games though, and MOTWs is probably on par with SF3:3S

I don't really know, cuz I came in when marvel super heros came..but from what I know is that everyone was playing x men children of the atom when samurai showdown 2 was popping..also I'm sure when alpha dropped, it killed any snk at that time.

nah X-men COTA was a straight up broken mess ( Ice man....). SS2 is actually one of the best fighting games ever made.

I don't remember either games being as popular as MK2 though. that was king back then.
