He worked with Ewing too, the problem is this dude never wanted to work with his back to the rim, everything he does is turn and face on the baseline from around 12-15 feet.
When he was younger and had the speed he could turn and face, jab step to baseline then dribble with his right hand and spin back away from baseline into the lane and get a decent look against bad defenders. But to have an effective turn and face game you need a jumper to go along with it to keep defenses guessing, he doesn't have that and never will so you know exactly what he'll do. Then he tried to incorporate that running hook shot off one leg into his game, when the most consistent type of hook shot is the one you get off a backdown and jump off two feet.
