If they win Game 2, they'll win 3 and 4 in Cleveland. Quote it, bookmark it, I really don't give a fukk.
Go back and watch the game. In Quarters 1, 2, and 4 the Cavs played ugly basketball feeding the post and trying to play inside out. In the first half of the 3rd quarter, they switched to the PnR heavy offense and were bulldozing GS. They came back from a big deficit, took the lead, and seemed to have all momentum. The loss might actually be on Delly. Because after his hit which led to the incredibly long review the Cavs seemed to have forgotten what was working and gone back to their ugly post up/iso gameplan. Next thing you know, they can't score and GS goes on a run.
These dudes get paid millions of dollars so I'm assuming they'll have the knowledge to go watch film and go, "Hey, we were kicking their ass in that 3rd quarter? What'd we do differently?" Expect to see more of that in Game 2.![]()

the format changed in 2014.......
they arent good enough defensively to constantly trap 2 players over and over without allowing easy buckets repeatedly......see the first half especially.
kyrie and love were getting lost on switches all night
doesnt help that draymond was actually making good decisions with the ball in his hands all night
So Kobe and duncan get credit for losing first round series while Bron lost finals?
Kobe even missed the playoffs in his prime

"But but, he got to the finals 9 times!"![]()

The Lakers were the betting underdogs for the majority of the games played that season.....so them losing more than they won, and not making the playoffs, should be an passable offense since "betting odds" are allowed in discussion now

He had 6 straight Finals Appearances. He da GOAT...
Oh yeah, I picked your boy to win this weekend. Don't know what the fukk I was thinking.![]()

No, they do. They will pick up on it, but I guarantee they won't be able to guard it. Because that's just how they play. The Cavs got this far and were blowing out teams with this super crazy uber efficient offense by running a PnR heavy offense, often with LeBron as the roll man. The series of possessions where they went back to that in the 3rd--you saw what happened. They went on a massive run and took the lead. The second they stopped, it all went to shyt. I was kind of blown away to see them throw the Gameplan they've been using effectively for the last 2 months into the bushes to go back to their iso-ball style that they used in last year's Finals. And the Warriors don't get paid millions of dollars and have the ability to do the same thing to counteract?

Shows me Ty Lue is inexperienced. Dude watched gametape from last year's Finals and thought that because the Cavs went up 2-1 using that style it'd really work this year. Not realizing they only used that trash style because the team was so depleted and because they had the defenders in the starting unit to actually get away with it. LeBron himself said in the press conference they were just holding and pounding the rock like morons while everyone else watched and that's not gonna go down game 2.![]()
No. They won't outrun anyone. The Cavs play at one of the slowest paces in the league. They got to the Finals playing at the same pace as the Memphis Grizzlies. People are under the illusion that they're a fast-paced offense that pushes the tempo because they score so much and shoot so many threes. But in reality, they play extremely slow, don't commit many turnovers and are just uber-efficient. They did all that running a PnR heavy offense, and again, for whatever reason decided to throw it in the bushes during Game 1 when it's what has made them so unguardable offensively for the last 2-3 months. We saw shades of the PnR in the 3rd and they took the lead. Iguodala is a great defender and everything but you're making it too easy for him when you iso and just bulldoze at him. When you run a Kyrie/LeBron PnR, a LeBron/Love or Frye PnP, etc, you force Golden State into a pick your poison situation because they don't have great rim protection and can't rely on Iggy making superman 1v1 plays. Most of Cleveland's turnovers did not come off of picked off passes but rather the ball literally getting slapped out their hands because everything was an iso and them just trying to bumrush the defender and hope for the best.So the idea is to try and outrun the Warriors? Doesn't make sense. And the LeBron PnR didn't work as much as I thought it would becuz Warriors didn't really switch and they were never forced to rotate.
