shift resources from back-of-the-store activities to customer-facing ones, and enhance our efficiency and productivity
Corporations think we are stupid.
This shyt makes no sense.
How does shifting more of your staff and resources to the front for a big box store improve efficiency or productivity? We are not talking a supermarket here.

Half the time I go to these big box bulk stores there is not enough people operating the forklifts only one nikka is certified and he's taking a shyt for 3 hours so they can't get the box of cherrios down for my aunt

There are plenty of cash registers open in these big box stores they have much more than your regular supermarket or local corner grocery store. So why are they talking about putting more people in the front?

You mean as in those $4/hr greeters?

So basically they are shifting towards the lower paying jobs to cut costs. We all know the back of the store jobs pay more and are more likely to be union and employ males due to the physical labor and potential hazards involved.

I'm getting real tired of this agenda and I guess it's gonna be the same old song and dance under Trump.

layoffs happen all the time, Walmart announced that they are expanding this year with over 100 new stores and thousands of added employees. A bunch of other companies are expanding this year as well.
