Too many of the jokes for the first 1 were just... not really creative or had any effort

When you want racial jokes to be funny, you can't just randomly do lazy stereotyping or punch down. Add some cleverness, timing, or that makes you have to think for a second to get the joke, etc. Like any other joke.

Rush hour 1 missed a lot for every hit it had when it came to the racial jokes. That's why it felt kinda elementary school-ish at times. Which stinks because aside from that it was funny and entertaining
"I've been looking for yo' sweet and sour chicken-ass!"
:dead:

You can't tell me that was in the script.
Now this was funny :russ:

Crazy part is Chris didn't want to make anymore friday movies because he felt they sent the wrong message. But he more likely to cancelled for Rush Hour these days
The rush hour checks were much fatter lol. They were international hits.

Crazy part is now folks be uncomfortable with racial comedy like this. But will eat this same type of racism up if its in some dumb ass mob movie, dumb ass Tarantino movie, or dumb as realistic time centered drama on a streaming platform.

Mothafukkas will be like wow did you see that racism on blazing saddles that triggered me...:mjcry:.

Then be like did you see how that black man and black women were racially insulted or killed/raped in that amazing show (fill in dumb ass black show that is really black suffering porn) it was so ground breaking and moving....bravo...I can't wait until next weeks show...:ohlawd:

:beli:
The difference with your example is that they aren't good characters and you aren't suppose to be rooting for them. That's easier for people to digest than the protagonist engaging in racial humor

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
They're definitely classics and would be lost on this sensitive snowflake generation.

The point is that all parties were in on it.
People were dealing with their differences head on and not being afraid to joke about race in fear of jeopardizing careeers.

Even if Ratner, a white man, spear headed it and Jackie said American humor is lost on him for the most part. Jackie's not a big fan of American anything.

Whoever said Tucker was above this...nah. This is the best Chris has to offer. I never read about him distancing himself from these like Friday. I know he found God or a personal moral high ground , but that's also typically when funny people stop being funny.
