Here's my thing: I think you could replace him with any PG in league history and they'd be worse, b/c no one has had his combination of on/off ball dominance or a skillset that meshes so well with how the Warriors want to operate.

So to complain about his defense as it relates to the Warriors seems irrelevant if there isn't anyone that'd make the team better with their own. It's not an actual weakness for their team

When I say "the rule", I mean my gif is what happens 99.9% of the time for the entirety of the games. Your gif is what happens 0.1% of the time for the entirety of the games. All Curry does for most of the game is play the passing lanes for steals like Harden and they're both usually guarding no one because of it. Curry is trash on defense as far as lack of effort and when he's actually trying. The end.

Where are you getting threse percentages from. You don't watch him closely enough if you think he's like Harden, is much more disciplined defender and they are night and day in terms of engagement. He's good at ripping defenders on ball as well, and creates a lot of deflections when guarding the P&R.
