Exactly this...he just ensures that his offensive production is able to go tit for tat with the opposition...and he usually does. I do think this will catch up to him and them eventually...but right now he is more than successful with this style of play.His unreal shooting ability and the threat it creates for the the other team balances out his poor defense.
Squads might have their number now though...maybe

steph is a great(one of the best in history) 3pt shooter n nothin more..
his drive to the basket ain't as smooth as tony parker, kyrie, wall or aggressive as Westbrook..
His crossover is wack as hell son..ain't really flashy like AI or Kyrie Irving.. Boy ain't got that swag what *we* black ppl identify with...Its like watchin Albino AI play bball son..
one of worst pg defender in the league, ain't as built or explosive as Alpha Westbrook or D Rose b4 the injury...His shooting makes up for all of his inadequate skills to make him into that top 25 player all time..
